Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Design Manager to lead our team of M&E designers and Sector Material Experts. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support to internal and external stakeholders, including clients and senior management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of designers and experts to deliver high-quality design and advisory services to clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.
  • Plan and deliver design and advisory services to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance to ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Recognized degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally with membership to CIBSE.
  • Strong knowledge of the Building Services industry, including alternative energy.
  • Competent with MS programmes, CAD, BIM, and other related design software.
  • Able to demonstrate a minimum of 15 years' experience delivering design and construction services in a similar role.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and monitoring abilities.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
  • Enhanced DBS accreditation and legal right to work in the UK.
