The successful candidate will have previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment, with a good standard of both verbal and written English. They will also possess a good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, as well as previous catering, kitchen or food preparation experience.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for, delivering meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit, and assisting with the basic preparation of food items. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensure that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
