The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Contract Negotiation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dedicated team, you will support the negotiation of contracts on behalf of our clients, working closely with leading industry practitioners, senior lawyers, and experienced colleagues.
This is a client-facing role that offers a wide range of opportunities for growth and development. You will be exposed to a diverse range of financial institutions, from global banks to hedge funds, and will have the opportunity to progress within your team. Our supportive and innovative team dynamic ensures that you will have the resources and guidance needed to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities- Manage your own workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Liaise with clients and their counterparties to draft, negotiate, amend, and execute commercial contracts, including ISDA agreements, CSAs, GMSLAs, GMRAs, NDAs, and Terms of Business.
- Manage and update negotiation databases, ensuring accurate tracking of external communications and escalations within the team.
- Provide information and reporting for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Participate in conference calls and meetings with clients, counterparties, and internal teams.
- Stay up-to-date with legal and regulatory developments in derivatives law and practice through research, industry events, and our learning management system.
- A minimum of a 2:1 Undergraduate degree in Law or equivalent degree. A legal conversion qualification is desirable if your degree is in a different discipline.
- A strong interest in developing a career in Law.
- Close attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems.
