About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team on an NHS universal crisis service in Carlisle. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert mental health care to patients aged 18-65, utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, manage patient records, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Participate in shift leadership, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Engage with patients, families, and carers to promote patient-centered care and empowerment.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices, research, and policy developments in mental health care.
Requirements
  • Qualified Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 6 months post-qualifying experience.
  • Valid NMC registration and Enhanced DBS check.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive team culture.
