About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Service Engineer to join their team in Cambridge. As a key member of the Building Services team, you will provide engineering support to the practice, leveraging your expertise in M&E engineering to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in M&E engineering, including design and project management responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with the team leader to develop cost-effective solutions and ensure compliance with statutory authorities.
  • Review tenders, prepare tender reports, and recommend solutions to clients.
  • Monitor site works, conduct inspections, and submit condition reports.

Requirements

  • Degree or Master's in engineering.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers or the Energy Institute.
  • Proven experience with IES (Mechanical) or Amtech (Electrical) design software.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
