Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Realise Recruitment. As an Electrical Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the implementation of control logic to the CAPEX Washline Project, leading the commissioning of the project, and ensuring compliance with health and safety practices across all IMET Alloys sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the implementation of control logic to the CAPEX Washline Project
  • Lead the commissioning of the project, working with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to provide a state-of-the-art process
  • Manage time and resources effectively to achieve desired results
  • Report directly to the Global Engineering and Maintenance manager
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers
  • Liaise with internal and external suppliers and contacts
  • Implement new policies and procedures as required
  • Contribute to occupational safety and health of employees, enforcing safe working practices and the use of personnel protective equipment
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Control / Systems Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Incorporated or Chartered engineer in Electrical Control / Systems Engineering (or equivalent) (desired but not essential)
  • Minimum 5-10 years' experience in similar electrical control / systems engineering
  • Extensive experience in PLC programming, Logic Control, HMI Interfacing Software, Script Writing, and debugging
  • Siemens and Allen Bradley control systems experience desirable
  • Detailed knowledge of acceptance testing/system level testing
  • Working knowledge of systems schematics
  • Fluent in English and French (spoken and written) (desired but not essential)
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)
Working Environment

The successful candidate will be based in Livingston, with a view to extended periods in France initially. The role will involve travel to Europe and the USA.
