We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Linguistics Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in a thriving Secondary School in Islington, North London.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a charismatic graduate who has previous experience working with children who have special educational needs and has the skills to demonstrate a passion for SEN. You will be working closely with the Inclusion Manager and class teachers to monitor and forward the academic, social, and personal progression of pupils who speak 'English as an Additional Language'.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to pupils with SEN, including those who speak 'English as an Additional Language'
- Work with the Inclusion Manager and class teachers to monitor and forward pupil progress
- Deliver support to pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, reinforcing their knowledge and skills
- Collaborate with the SENCO to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with SEN
We are looking for a graduate with a Linguistics degree and a passion for supporting pupils with SEN. You should have previous experience working with children and be able to demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact on their education.
