Age UK Plymouth is a prominent and esteemed charitable organization dedicated to supporting older individuals and their caregivers in the Plymouth area. The organization provides a variety of services aimed at empowering individuals to lead fulfilling and active lives in their later years.

With a commitment to combating loneliness, Age UK Plymouth organizes numerous regular activities and special events designed to foster community inclusion. Their information and advice service collaborates with various organizations and charities to enhance the quality of life for older adults.

In partnership with Livewell Southwest, Age UK Plymouth operates a 24-bed short-term Care Centre, which offers transitional care from acute settings or helps prevent hospital admissions, promoting independence prior to returning home.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborating with trustees and stakeholders to formulate and execute an ambitious strategic plan that empowers individuals over 50 and their caregivers to enjoy a fulfilling and independent life.
  2. Creating a highly effective team while fostering a culture of collaboration, communication, and the delivery of exceptional services.
  3. Designing a fundraising strategy to achieve established priorities and projects, ensuring sustainable income and investment streams.
  4. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic organization eager to expand its reach and enhance its impact.

  1. Proven experience in a strategic leadership role with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

  5. Experience in financial forecasting and reporting.
