Job Summary:

Essential Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in administering and maintaining the applications software and IT infrastructure systems across the organization.

This is a 1st and 2nd Line support role requiring a broad knowledge of software applications and Windows technologies. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in providing technical triaging, problem-solving, and IT support across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows server/desktop, Hyper-V, O365, Active Directory, Azure, and Cisco Meraki switches
  • Ensure that the correct priority and severity are assigned to all application issues
  • Perform day-to-day systems administration, including system checks, security checks, incident, and service request tickets across the Windows server/desktop estate
  • Develop and implement acceptable workarounds and lasting solutions within service levels across the whole Windows estate and both ERP and CRM applications

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT Infrastructure Support Engineering role
  • Strong experience of supporting Windows server/desktop admin and support, including Office 365, Active Directory, Hyper-V, Azure AD, and Cisco Meraki switches
  • Hands-on expertise in the proactive management of application upgrades, patches, and fixes
  • Significant track record in providing IT support to both on-prem and Cloud environments
  • Excellent communication skills and experience of working with 3rd party suppliers/partners
