Job Title: Product Safety Engineer

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Engineer to join our team. As a Product Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products throughout their entire lifecycle, from design to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety concerns.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety analyses to inform design and development decisions.
  • Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases and risk assessments.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of safety principles and regulations, including ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
  • Experience with safety analysis and risk assessment techniques, including FMEA and HAZOP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate safety risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
