Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Supermarket Assistant. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Assist customers with their shopping needs, including answering questions about products and providing recommendations.
  • Restock shelves, maintain a clean and organized store environment, and perform other tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the store.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and card payments in accordance with company procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing role is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and card transactions.
