Product Safety Engineer

Copello is seeking a Product Safety Engineer to join their team on behalf of a Defence Prime. This is a role that can be performed either hybrid or remotely, with occasional travel to site required.

As a Product Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for the governance of safety analysis and assessment activities, ensuring process approvals, and providing feedback and constructive criticism when necessary. You will also be required to educate wider areas of the business to ensure adherence to policies.

This is an exciting time to be joining the Safety & Environmental Team within the wider business. With recent government contracts won, the company is in a strong position to innovate new technologies within the Defence/Marine sector. You will be given the opportunity to develop within your role with support from Senior Management to advance in your career.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  1. Educated to a degree level in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience working in high hazard industries, such as Defence, Oil & Gas, Rail, etc.
  3. Safety case development/Engineering skills.

Desirable:

  1. Previous roles in Product Safety Engineering.
  2. TUV, HAZID, HAZAN, ALARP, FTA, FHA, FSA, HAZOP.
  3. Software & Hardware.
  4. Programme/Engineering Delivery.
