About the Role

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Safety Engineering Lead to join our team on a permanent basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, driving innovation and excellence in nuclear safety engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the safety engineering lead, providing expert recommendations through analysis to improve the safety engineering performance and delivery of departmental outputs.
  • Facilitate the build and commissioning delivery through innovative engineering solutions and problem-solving.
  • Ensure the maintenance of design intent during the build and commissioning.
  • Advise and conduct Intelligent Customer duties regarding documentation, advice, and services provided to the business.
  • Support the assessment of plant design changes.
  • Provide technically sound challenges to existing requirements.
  • Write and present reports to communicate nuclear safety matters to a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified Engineering/Physical Science discipline; Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry, Physics.
  • Knowledge of the nuclear industry and Nuclear Regulations.
  • Proven technical report writing skills.
  • Presentation skills.
