Senior Assembly Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Assembly Technician to join our Operations team at Reed. The successful candidate will be responsible for electromechanical assembly, SOP writing, and maintaining a well-organised workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electromechanical Assembly: Upgrade and assemble systems to the latest version, ensuring all components are correctly integrated and functioning.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise during the assembly and upgrading process.
  • Process Documentation: Write, update, and maintain essential process documentation.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with other departments to measure, record, correct, and prevent technical issues.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all assembly, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve assembly processes and contribute to product development initiatives.
  • Workspace Organisation: Implement and maintain 5S methodology in the workspace to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient working environment.
  • Support: Provide ad-hoc support to the wider Operations group as required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum A-level education within an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: At least 3 years' experience in electromechanical assembly, test, or repair environment.
  • Skills: Experience in developing assembly processes and enhancing documentation, familiarity with ISO9001, GLP/GMP is advantageous.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Personal Qualities: Structured and methodical approach to tasks, with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
