We are seeking a seasoned Manager to become part of a thriving and expanding national Employment Tax division, presenting numerous opportunities for professional development. Options for full-time or flexible schedules, as well as hybrid working arrangements, are available.

Role Insights

As a proficient Manager within our Employment Tax division, your responsibilities will include:

Providing guidance to our varied clientele on an array of employment tax matters, including the management of PAYE and NIC concerning payments, expenses, and benefits provided to employees, along with determining employment status (including IR35). Assisting employers in realizing cost efficiencies through the establishment of more effective remuneration and benefits frameworks. Overseeing Employment Tax compliance and minimizing both internal and external risks, particularly concerning year-end reporting and issues such as NMW and holiday pay. Conducting Employment Tax assessments, whether as part of due diligence, health checks, SAO, or independently. Contributing significantly to the Employment Tax and broader Employer Solutions group, engaging in stimulating and rewarding projects across a diverse client base. Enhancing the reputation of the Employment Tax division and Grant Thornton through exceptional quality of service.

Are You the Right Fit?

To join us as a Manager in Employment Tax/Employer Solutions, the essential qualifications include:

ACA/ACCA/CTA certification or an equivalent qualification. Strong communication skills with the ability to lead projects effectively. A minimum of 3 years' experience in Employment Tax.

While it is beneficial to possess some of the following skills, we are committed to supporting your development:

Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax regulations and prevalent Employment Tax issues (PAYE, NIC, IR35, etc.), along with awareness of implications arising from the Budget and HMRC consultations. A methodical approach to complex challenges grounded in sound judgment and research, with the ability to communicate with empathy and impact. A resilient spirit in challenging situations, taking ownership, and a desire to pursue business opportunities while fostering team collaboration in a respectful manner. A willingness to embrace technology and leverage it to enhance efficiency and maximize client opportunities. The capability to analyze client challenges, synthesize information, and provide clear and consistent communication.
