About the Executive Chef Position at Gold Care Homes

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Gold Care Homes. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality dining experience.

As our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for:

  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our residents, ensuring that all meals are nutritious, appealing, and wholesome.
  • Kitchen Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and cleanup, ensuring that all food safety and hygiene guidelines are adhered to.
  • Staff Management: Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff, delegating tasks and responsibilities to ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, identifying opportunities to reduce food spoilage and optimize menu planning.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, scheduling repairs and replacements as needed to ensure that the kitchen is well-maintained and efficient.
  • Collaboration with Management: Work closely with our management team to ensure that our culinary goals and objectives are met, and that our residents receive the highest quality dining experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Chef in a similar role
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
  • Licensure from the FDA as applicable
  • Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Strong creativity when creating menus
  • Budget management skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
