Comprehensive Job Overview

As a Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, contributing to the management of patient care and collaborating closely with the Infection Control Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues and the Infection Control Team to manage patient care effectively.
• Execute tasks assigned by senior staff members.
• Ensure that the production of Pathology reports meets the required professional standards.
• Provide clinical guidance to fellow clinicians.
• Engage in and support clinical audits.
• Participate in infection control initiatives, including meetings with the Infection Control Committee and the Antibiotic Committee.
• Involve yourself in teaching, training, and research development activities.
• Maintain close communication with all clinical departments within the hospital, participating in meetings, ward rounds, and audits to deliver a high-quality clinical microbiology service.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications Required

• MBBS or an equivalent medical qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Microbiology.
• GMC registration is essential.

Experience Required

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a clinical microbiology department.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience in an NHS Hospital in a similar role.
