Electrical Engineer Job Description

Gibson Search is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in designing and implementing electrical solutions for hazardous areas. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for applying your knowledge of electrical cabling, wiring, and system design to ensure compliance with ATEX, Ex, and IEC Ex regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for industrial vehicles, automotive, and marine applications
  • Specify and select components for integration, including Ex certified primary traction batteries
  • Define electrical enclosure layouts and population, and specify product test requirements
  • Produce project documents, including project specification documents and drawings in AutoCAD
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of electrical cabling for automotive, industrial, or marine
  • Hands-on experience of electrical wiring and system design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
