About the Role

Portfolio Payroll is seeking a skilled Payroll Onboarding Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new business division with growth and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure payroll customers have a seamless transition from their current payroll provider.
  • Act as the dedicated point of contact throughout the process, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Plan and execute customer onboarding projects for payroll in a timely manner.
  • Take a trusted and documented approach to balancing payroll onboarding data.
  • Explain the onboarding process to customers through regular project sessions and timely update meetings.
  • Ensure data migration documents are completed correctly and thoroughly checked during the gathering and loading processes.
  • Assist with processing of parallel runs and ensuring all run results balance with the new customer's previous payroll provider.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects simultaneously, prioritizing based on customer and business needs.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and educate customers on service and system features.
  • Ensure adherence to the Payroll onboarding SLA at all times.
  • Manage customers to supply all data to the Onboarding Team in a timely fashion to meet the agreed go-live date.
  • Meet all Key Performance Indicators set and document key reasons for project slippage with transparency of reasons and any additional cost implications.
Requirements
  • Previous customer onboarding experience within a payroll or finance-related role, with demonstrable experience of onboarding principles such as data loads, reconciliation, parallel runs, and go-live authority.
  • Awareness of UK payroll legislation and tax regulations.
  • Previous experience in SaaS platforms and an awareness of HR and payroll systems and how they work.
  • Light-touch project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to become a brand ambassador for the business and its sister companies.
