About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Development Engineer to join our team at AWS EMEA SARL (UK Branch). As a Systems Development Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating large-scale cloud computing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and reliable cloud computing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize system improvements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software components and tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
  • 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering experience
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
