Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we implement NetSuite globally, enhancing our infrastructure, systems, and processes. Optoma Europe is playing a crucial role in this transformation, and we are seeking a dedicated NetSuite Developer to create and develop software solutions. You will be responsible for producing well-structured, testable, and efficient code, along with functional designs, specifications, and time estimates.
Your work will vary significantly across projects, requiring you to adapt to different environments and programming languages, as well as the financial systems we utilize. Our primary focus in this area is on NetSuite and Boomi.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for all matters related to NetSuite.
- Develop software applications within the NetSuite platform.
- Oversee and maintain our NetSuite ERP system, including configuration, customization, and administration.
- Create and manage NetSuite workflows, scripts, and customizations to meet business needs.
- Develop and support our Boomi integration tool.
- Provide technical assistance to end-users and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate ongoing system enhancements.
- Ensure adherence to NetSuite best practices and industry standards.
- Participate in the development and execution of NetSuite-related projects.
- Train and assist end-users in utilizing NetSuite effectively.
- Stay informed about new NetSuite features and assess their implications for our system.
- Work with the support team to identify and resolve bugs and issues in existing software.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in developing and maintaining NetSuite SuiteApps.
- Ability to create software solutions based on functional specifications.
- Experience in writing and implementing high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Familiarity with Boomi.
- Experience in software testing, code review, and contributing to team improvement initiatives.
- Willingness to identify and implement improvements in standard practices.
- Capability to assist colleagues in learning new features and techniques.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and ascertain requirements.
- Ability to document changes, write technical designs, and create release notes.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest development techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a NetSuite Administrator/Developer.
- In-depth knowledge of NetSuite ERP system administration, customization, and integration.
- Experience with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial processes.
- Ability to work proactively and solve problems effectively.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of NetSuite Administration.
- Comprehensive understanding of NetSuite's functional, process, and technical aspects, including hands-on implementation experience.
- Experience in integration, customization, and support.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, PL/SQL, and relational database design.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Front-end development experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Preferred certifications: NetSuite Suite Cloud Developer II, Administrator.
- Experience with RESTLet and Workflow.
