We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our team at Churchill Living Ltd. As a key member of our commercial function, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our construction activities across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise the effectiveness of the commercial function, including quantity surveying, estimating, procurement, and material buying.
- Prepare construction budgets, monitor costs, and prepare schedules, reports, and estimates.
- Monitor procurement of subcontracts and materials within the region, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide proactive resource planning and coaching to the team, focusing on personal development and training requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a surveying and estimating field, with a successful track record of operating at a senior level.
- Ability to lead a team on large-scale projects in the UK, with a strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable preparing bills of quantities using standard surveying techniques and terminology, with familiarity with estimating software packages.
- Hold an appropriate construction or technical degree (HND minimum) or a recognised surveying qualification such as RICS.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of current building regulations, construction methods, and products.
