About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Team Leader to join our team at Care UK. As a Care Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supervising your shift, ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Lead and supervise your shift, ensuring that all team members are working effectively and efficiently.
    • Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring that the needs of our residents are met.
  • Case Management
    • Manage the care of our residents, ensuring that their needs are met and their rights are respected.
    • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure that the best care plans are created and delivered.
  • Medication Administration
    • Administer and record medication, ensuring that all residents receive the correct medication at the correct time.
  • Risk Assessment
    • Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential risks and taking steps to mitigate them.
  • Team Support
    • Work closely with care assistants to support residents with daily needs, ensuring that they remain as active and independent as possible.
  • Service Development
    • Work closely with the leadership team to develop services, ensuring that they meet the needs of our residents.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent.
  • Skills and Experience
    • Proven ability to lead and supervise others.
    • Good understanding of care planning processes.
    • Experience in administering medication.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
