Job Summary:

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Principal EIA Consultant to join our team. As a Principal EIA Consultant, you will be responsible for managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and supporting environmental projects with other technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage EIAs: Oversee the development and implementation of EIAs for various projects, ensuring compliance with UK EIA regulations and guidance.
  2. Support Environmental Projects: Collaborate with technical teams, including Noise, Air Quality, Ground, Flood, and Ecology, to deliver high-quality environmental projects.
  3. Liaise with Clients: Communicate with clients on EIA-related matters, highlighting project risks and providing expert advice.
  4. Manage Bids: Secure new projects by developing and submitting winning bids.
  5. Support Junior Team Members: Mentor and guide junior team members to ensure their professional growth and development.
  6. Project Management: Oversee projects across all stages of development, from feasibility to construction, including creating and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and trackers.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive Experience: Possess extensive experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of UK EIA regulations and guidance.
  2. Project Management: Proven ability to manage diverse projects, ideally in the infrastructure sector.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficient in GIS, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook, with excellent computer literacy.
  4. Business Development: Ability to win projects and secure new business opportunities.
  5. Professional Membership: Full member of IEMA.
