About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer to lead our Java development team at boohoo group. As a key member of our tech team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our e-commerce platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-quality, scalable Java applications.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure the delivery of clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
  • Manage project timelines, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of Java and Spring Boot Framework.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Proficient in database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
