About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterology Consultant to join our dynamic and progressive team at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHSFT. The successful candidate will have a specialist interest in pancreatobiliary disease and will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Gastroenterology service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
  • Contribute to the Consultant of the Week model, leading ward rounds and reviewing specialty referrals
  • Participate in a 1:7 out-of-hours GI bleed on-call
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • UK CCT in Gastroenterology and GIM
  • Competent in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy
  • Competent in acute medical emergencies (GI Bleed)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
