Job Description

Expleo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Detail Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Structures department, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop detailed CAD models and drawings for various projects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
  • Contribute to and support the entire project and product design cycle, from concept to construction and installation.
  • Provide technical support during the construction and installation phases.
  • Perform self-verification of work and check 3D and 2D outputs.
  • Provide technical support and governance for the wider team.
  • Report technical progress and issues to line management.
  • Ensure safety, health, and environmental requirements are implemented.
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.
Requirements
  • NC/HNC or equivalent qualification in Structural/Outfitting discipline subject.
  • Apprenticeship in relevant discipline or relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices.
  • Proficiency in parametric/spec driven CAD systems, including FORAN.
  • Experience in Design working on Naval or Commercial Marine projects.
