CCTV Security Operations Controller

As a CCTV Security Operations Controller, you will be engaged in a structured shift pattern of 4 days on followed by 4 days off, and 4 nights on followed by 4 nights off, working from 06:30 to 18:30, totaling 42 hours per week in a permanent, full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commence your shift punctually in full uniform, ensuring readiness for duty.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, being clean, smart, and tidy at all times.
  • Effectively communicate the transition of shifts to the oncoming supervisor, including the handover of keys, devices, and staff confirmations.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety protocols, ensuring all procedures align with the established Health and Safety Policy.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of fire alarm protocols.
  • Be knowledgeable about the locations of all critical areas, including plant rooms and service corridors.
  • Act as the primary radio contact for all personnel and tenants on site.
  • Oversee control room operations, especially during incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records in security logbooks and incident reports.
  • Assist tenants during incidents, whether in person or via surveillance.
  • Support law enforcement presence on site as needed.
  • Understand your responsibilities and authority as a security team member.
  • Manage and de-escalate incidents occurring in the facility.
  • Provide first aid when necessary, applicable only to certified first aiders.
  • Handle control room duties, including answering inquiries and monitoring surveillance systems.
  • Utilize patrol monitoring systems to aid in incident management.
  • Be familiar with in-house radio communication protocols.
  • Conduct regular check calls during night shifts.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client and staff information.
  • Report any maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Keep your workspace organized and equipment securely stored.
  • Understand and comply with care standards relevant to your role.
  • Foster polite and effective communication with colleagues, tenants, and visitors.
  • Be open to ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Follow managerial directives at all times.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Possession of an SIA license in CCTV (Security Guarding where applicable).
  • Experience in building partnerships with clients.
  • IOSH training is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and teams.
  • Organizational skills with a proven ability to manage workflows.
  • Understanding of high-quality service delivery and its significance.
  • Flexibility and agility to adapt to the demands of the role.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
