Job Summary:

Rappahannock Community College, a two-year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System, seeks applicants for Dual Enrollment Instructors.

About the Role:

Dual Enrollment Instructors teach college courses at the high school, covering both high school and college content at a rigorous level, allowing students to earn high school and college credit.

Responsibilities:

• Teach college courses at the high school, ensuring alignment with college policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement curriculum that meets college standards and student learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student learning outcomes and instructional effectiveness.
• Conform to all college policies and procedures pertaining to dual enrollment courses.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in content area or Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in content area for all transfer courses.
• Faculty in specialized professional or technical associate in applied sciences require a Bachelor's in teaching field or an Associate in teaching field with demonstrated competency in teaching field with 2 years of related occupational experience.
• Employment in a local school system is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience in the discipline.
