Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team of professionals working with schools and alternative education provisions across Winchester.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with pupils with complex needs, challenging behavior, and SEMH. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils in a small class setting, ensuring each child receives the personalized attention and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting teachers with small class groups of 4-8 pupils
  • Working with pupils with ASC, complex needs, challenging behavior, and SEMH
  • Developing relationships and rapport with pupils to create a positive learning environment
  • Assisting with lesson planning and delivery to meet individual pupil needs
  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils to ensure they stay on track with the curriculum

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education
