We are pleased to announce a temporary opportunity for a Family Support Practitioner 2 to become a part of our dedicated team. This role involves working within a supportive environment, collaborating with a skilled group of professionals. The Early Intervention Support Service (EISS) operates in various regions, focusing on providing essential support to children and families through diverse methods.
The primary focus of this role is to deliver support within family settings, although alternative venues such as office spaces or educational institutions may be utilized when suitable. Our family support services aim to enhance play skills, manage behaviors, establish routines and boundaries, and provide emotional and parenting assistance.
When appropriate, we also offer Therapeutic Intervention support, which includes individualized sessions with children and young people, in collaboration with their parents or guardians. Common challenges addressed may include low self-esteem, grief, anxiety, and navigating transitions. Additionally, we provide evidence-based parenting programs to assist families.

The ideal candidate should possess the following essential qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or Child Development, or an equivalent qualification;
- Proven experience in family support;
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team or environment that provides services to families;
- A valid UK driving license, business insurance, and access to a vehicle for work purposes (this requirement may be waived for candidates with disabilities who can demonstrate alternative means of meeting mobility needs).
