Careers with ECS - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Join ECS - Building Services Consultants as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and take on a challenging role that will utilize your expertise in mechanical design and leadership skills.

The Role: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design of mechanical systems and collaborating with project design teams to meet client deliverables. You will also mentor junior members of the mechanical engineering team and contribute to the development of design projects.

  • Lead the design of mechanical services, including drafting drawings, conducting calculations, and producing specifications.
  • Collaborate with electrical, CAD, and secretarial staff to ensure the production process meets business needs.
  • Represent mechanical and electrical design at design team meetings.
  • Operate ACAD and BIM systems, with opportunities for training in REVIT MEP.
  • Develop and maintain operation and maintenance manuals.

Your Skills:

  • Proven experience in building services design, with a minimum HNC in Building Services Engineering.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CAD software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop relationships with internal and external colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Full driving license and access to a car, with occasional travel required.
