Investment Fund Accountant

Muzinich, a leading independent investment management firm, is seeking a highly skilled Investment Fund Accountant to join our team in New York City. As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our multiple funds and separately managed accounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Reconcile cash positions and research discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Process trades and other end-of-day procedures to maintain the integrity of our financial data.
- Review currency hedges and calculate monthly performance to provide valuable insights to our investment teams.
- Compile monthly reports and perform turnover calculations to support our investment strategies.
- Assist with information for marketing presentations, RFPs, and DDQs to showcase our expertise.
- Respond to specific client requests and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work on cross-department projects with other colleagues to improve efficiency and drive business growth.
- Contribute to Firm-wide initiatives to enhance our investment management capabilities.
- Demonstrable work experience in a similar investment fund accounting role at an asset management firm.
- Knowledge of asset management, RIAs, and fixed income financial products.
- Public Debt funds (UCITS and 40 Act) experience a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Quick study with the ability to handle complex matters and multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- High energy and self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Adaptable and able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Range: $90,000/yr - $120,000/yr
