About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Specialist Occupational Therapists to join our dynamic team within the Emergency Department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering an opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will work autonomously, conducting rapid risk assessments, problem-solving, and providing expert care to a diverse patient population presenting with a wide range of medical and orthopaedic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessment and intervention to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Promote the principles of Home First and Realistic Medicine in practice.
- Contribute to service development initiatives within the Emergency Department.
About You
You will be a registered Occupational Therapist with experience working in an acute care setting. We welcome applications from both Band 5 and Band 6 OTs who are eager to develop their skills and contribute to our high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical reasoning skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing patient-centered care.
