Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Programme Planner to join our team at Morson Talent. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating planning and development activities associated with major HVDC infrastructure construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Programme data in Primavera (P6) format.
  • Oversee the preparation and update of the programme masterplan through collation of planning data from multiple sources.
  • Identify, capture, and track dependencies within plans, schedules, and reporting.
  • Interpretive analysis of planning data from contractors and preparation of planning reporting information.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of project and overall programme reports to support the governance framework.
  • Quality assure schedules, coach colleagues in best practice, and maintain programme level schedules to reflect delivery progress.
  • Cultivate strong relationships and effectively manage interfaces with all parts of the EGL1 team, including contractors, engaged in project and programme development.
  • Facilitate planning workshops with senior stakeholders and project managers.
Requirements
  • Technical competencies: Primavera P6, MS Project, Microsoft Office tools, and UK Electricity transmission experience.
  • Behavioural competencies/Leadership qualities: excellent organisational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, flexibility, and self-starter ability.
  • Planning & Organising: manage the change control process, track delivery of plan versus baseline, and conduct a risk analysis of the plan.
Minimum Criteria
  • Degree/HND/HNC level qualifications or relative demonstrable experience.
  • Experience of leading a planning team to deliver major infrastructure projects preferably in the UK Electricity Transmission industry.
  • Technical planning expert to advanced Primavera level with knowledge and use of other planning tools.
  • Self-motivated with sound interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an assertive style of behaviour.
  • Practiced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • IT systems - competent in Microsoft Office suite including MS Project.
  • Experienced in a programme delivery or project planning environment.
  • Electrical Network experience desirable.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
