B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

Qualifications and Experience

Possession of an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License with applicable Type Ratings is essential. Candidates should have prior certification experience within an EASA Part 145 organization.

Role Overview: The B2 Licensed Engineer is tasked with ensuring adherence to maintenance, inspection, and regulatory standards as mandated by EASA and overseen by the Quality and Airworthiness Manager.

Responsibilities

Primary Duties:

  1. Acting as an inspector for specific aircraft maintenance activities, in line with MOE Part 146 guidelines.
  2. Assuming the responsibilities of a Maintenance Team Leader when directed by a Service Team Manager.
  3. Managing manpower resources, including licensed mechanical and avionics inspectors and fitters, for specific aircraft maintenance tasks as requested.
  4. Certifying tasks that have been completed and for which training and authorization have been granted. This includes inspections and certifications at various locations.
  5. Ensuring that maintenance commitments are met within the designated timeframes, and promptly notifying the Maintenance Team Leader of any delays.
  6. Completing all relevant aircraft maintenance documentation for tasks performed or supervised before the end of each shift.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding the strategic goals of the department related to Product Support.
  2. Communicating any challenges encountered in performing departmental duties to the Service Team Manager.
  3. Being aware of departmental metrics for monitoring goals, product delivery, and quality.
  4. Maintaining departmental standards to support ongoing success.
  5. Ensuring effective handovers to facilitate workflow.
  6. Participating in 'Stand-up Board' meetings to discuss performance and communications.
  7. Carrying out additional tasks as assigned by the Service Team Manager or Department Manager.
  8. Upholding the quality of workmanship to meet EASA and UK CAA standards, ensuring compliance with all maintenance and design change requirements.

Other Qualifications:

  1. Extensive experience in both line and base maintenance.
  2. Demonstrated aircraft inspection and certification experience from previous roles.
  3. Experience in the corporate aviation sector is advantageous.
  4. Strong understanding of Aviation Legislation.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Proficient in computer usage.
  7. Adaptable to varying work patterns.
  8. Organized approach to daily tasks.
