About the Role
AqualisBraemar LOC is seeking an experienced Master Mariner to join our team as a Consultant. As a key member of our maritime consultancy, you will conduct vessel surveys and undertake incident investigations for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections and audits onboard ships as required by the client.
- Participate in technical and procedural reviews and marine study reports covering marine and offshore projects.
- Attend transportation and other marine operations as required.
- Provide expert witness opinion within your specialist field, both written and potentially at court or arbitration.
- Contribute to winning surveying and expert witness work opportunities with P&I clubs, H&M insurers, ship owners, managers, charterers, and law firms.
Requirements
- Master Mariner (STCW II/2) license.
- Proven experience working within the marine consultancy space.
- Proven experience of undertaking expert witness work and suitability, pre-purchase, and condition surveys.
