Mitie has an exciting opportunity for a Relief Retail Security Officer to join our team.
As a Relief Retail Security Officer, you will be responsible for covering various shift patterns and being flexible in your approach to working locations and potential changes to working patterns.
You will demonstrate your character as determined, trustworthy, attentive, and approachable at all times when welcoming clients and customers – ensuring ID badges are created, allocated, and collected when appropriate.
As the first point of contact for all customers and clients, you must be geographically aware of your local surroundings.
You will travel to various retail client sites to cover sickness, holiday, and provide support to the core team when required.
You must be able to man the CCTV and alarms, doors, and car park if needed.
You will spot and stop all suspicious sightings or potential criminal activity and retain full control until the arrival of emergency services.
You will report to the Security Operations Manager – you must record, report, and escalate all sightings and arrests on a regular basis.
You will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.
You should be able to work on your own initiative.
Retail Security experience is essential.
Ability to travel to various sites is required.
A flexible approach to work to suit the business needs is necessary.
It is essential that the Security Officer is calm under pressure.
Door Supervision or Security Guarding License is essential.
A Full UK Driving licence is preferred.
