Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Scientist (Audiology) to join our Paediatric Audiology team at the Children's Hearing Centre. The successful candidate will have a specialist interest in paediatric audiology and a strong background in audiology with a post-degree experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate and patient-centred care to children and their families, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively with the audiology team, supporting a positive team culture and providing guidance to less experienced staff.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of high-quality audiological services by adhering to standards and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of excellent care to children and their families. The post holder will be based at St Michael's Hospital, Bristol, and will work closely with the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, Paediatric ENT, Sensory Support Service, and the Hearing Implant Programme.

Requirements
  • Significant post-degree experience in audiology with a specialist interest in paediatric audiology.
  • Highly specialised knowledge of paediatric audiology acquired through a combination of in-depth experience and post-graduate/post-registration training.
  • Experience undertaking clinical audit and/or research.
