The Role

As a Mobile Crane Operator at Babcock International Group, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will work in a dynamic and challenging environment, being involved in some of Babcock's most exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and check the functioning of the rated capacity limiter and rated capacity indicator.
  • Work to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Adhere to road traffic regulations.
  • Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn at all appropriate times.
  • Conversant with the correct use of outriggers.

Working at Height

This position involves working at height. Candidates must be able to work safely and perform tasks at varying heights.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience operating mobile cranes.
  • Knowledge of the effects of wind and other climatic conditions on the crane and load.
  • Display safe working practices.

Qualifications

  • Full Driver's Licence.
  • HGV Class C Licence.
  • In-date Blue CPCS card with Mobile Crane Operator authorisation.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
