We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Page Personnel Finance. As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our client, a leading organization in the Engineering & Manufacturing Industry.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports to the Managing Director and parent company.
- Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant local laws and regulations.
- Tax Management: Process tax reports and payments, and manage VAT reporting to the Tax authorities.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct analysis of the branch's performance, including sales and financial trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory reconciliation and stock/cycle count.
- Expense Management: Control, review, and book expense reports.
- Communication: Regularly communicate with colleagues and keep them updated on financial developments and trends.
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of statutory accounting, legal, and tax requirements.
- Skills: Advanced bookkeeping skills, knowledge of balance account reconciliations, and strong Excel skills.
- Education: Sufficient years of accounting experience to demonstrate proven capability at the contribution level required.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the audit process and ability to support in managing external providers.
- Competitive Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum.
- Benefits: 5% matched pension contribution, private healthcare with Aviva, 25 days holiday plus 8 days bank holidays, and free parking.
- Working Hours: 35 hour working week, with one hour for lunch.
