Senior Business Analyst Opportunity

Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation, is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support their digital transformation journey. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a hybrid team, combining remote and office-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an audit trail of decisions, assumptions, and outstanding questions.
  • Assist in identifying, evaluating, and tracking project benefits for stated outcomes and objectives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to inform iterations of the domain roadmap.
  • Support the Domain Principal Analyst as required.
  • Identify new process and customer opportunities.
  • Support development teams' Product and Agile leads in tactical and strategic work to ensure product delivery teams deliver solutions that work for customers and the organisation.
  • Actively participate in Business Analysis practice sharing best practice techniques and domain progress.
  • Support junior staff with their development and upskilling.

Essential Skills:

  • Confident facilitating detailed collaborative workshops with customers and established cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborative mindset seeking advice and input from a wide array of stakeholders across the customer and internal ecosystem.
  • Working knowledge of Agile approaches in the design and delivery of digital services.
  • Ability to support decision-making processes through the effective synthesis of information from a wide array of sources.
  • Experience synthesising complex information into clear and compelling visual stories.
  • Experience mapping stakeholders, impact, processes, and land registration value streams.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Business Canvas Modelling, Value Proposition Design, or Wardley map techniques.
  • Experience with prioritisation techniques such as cost of delay or similar.
  • Understanding of systems architectures in transition.
  • Familiarity with creation of conceptual wireframes.
  • Development of Personas, customer journeys, and service blueprints.
  • Use of Google's suite of web analytics software.
  • Writing of user stories and formal acceptance criteria.
  • Background in lean UX, six-sigma, system thinking approaches, or similar.
  • Formal qualification with IIBA or similar body.
