Job Title: Senior Actuary - BPA Proposition and Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Actuary to join our BPA Proposition and Projects team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of our BPA proposition strategy and arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execution of the proposition strategy to enable competitive pricing of our BPA business.
  • Implementation of proposition changes in BPA and communication of these assumptions to key stakeholders.
  • Maintenance and development of relationships with external stakeholders, including legal consultants and third-party providers.
  • Subject matter expertise for BPA proposition and collaboration with internal departments to ensure arrangements are fully understood and implemented.
  • Contribution to the BPA Proposition & Projects team, including regular updates and training to colleagues.
  • Ensuring governance and processes are in place in line with CLL Policies and Standards.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of UK Defined Benefit pensions.
  • Familiarity with BPA market, products, and reinsurance structures.
  • Understanding of pricing, capital modeling, and profit testing.
  • Ability to build relationships with people at all levels (internal and external).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Understanding and ability to implement/maintain an actuarial control framework.
Qualifications:
  • Qualified Actuary (with relevant post-qualification experience).
