About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Domestic Cleaning Assistant to join our team at Compass Group Ireland. As a key member of our cleaning team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Area Cleaning: Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected, and public areas to maintain high hospital standards.
  • Waste Management: Ensuring rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Using equipment in accordance with the role, following all Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Patient Interaction: Communicating effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff to provide excellent customer service.
  • Teamwork: Working under pressure, individually and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
  • Adaptability: Confident working in a hospital environment, aware of the potential for contact with patients who may be unwell or distressed.
