About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at beBee Professionals in Wellingborough, UK. As the second-in-command, you will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Supervise and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service during peak periods.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard, meeting health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient ordering and stock control.
  • Take charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef, demonstrating leadership and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Creativity and passion for cooking with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher preferred).
