About Our Practice

We are a suburban general practice serving approximately 7000 patients, supported by three partners along with nursing, administrative, and PCN ARRS staff.

Operational Duties

Daily Operational Management

Oversee the daily operational performance of the practice, ensuring effective execution of both clinical and non-clinical tasks.

Ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable and confident in following established protocols.

Work in conjunction with relevant management to regularly evaluate practice operations and implement improvements, leveraging technology to enhance both patient and staff experiences.

Support the practice in maintaining a cost-effective staffing model to ensure quality patient service, including managing overtime and training budgets.

Promote a culture of collaboration, ensuring staff actively engage with communication tools to optimize information sharing across the practice.

Staff Management

Ensure that all new staff members receive a positive onboarding experience and are effectively introduced to site-specific policies and procedures.

Serve as the primary contact for staff to ensure awareness and adherence to relevant policies.

Act as the initial point of contact for patient complaints, in accordance with established policies.

Oversee the administrative components of quality outcomes frameworks, collaborating with GPs, nursing staff, and the administrative team.

Facilities and Compliance

Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and maintain all relevant documentation.

Optimize the use of practice facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and safeguarding staff well-being.

Collaborate with partners to plan and implement facility improvements, managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.

General Business Support

Provide on-site assistance for basic IT support requests, escalating complex issues to external support services.

Serve as the first point of contact for initial business support inquiries, directing more complex queries to the appropriate team member.

Organize and participate in relevant meetings, ensuring that decisions and actions are documented and followed up.

Lead the management of clinical systems, ensuring IT security and compliance with information governance at all times.

Maintain the significant event database, offering guidance to staff and briefing the team as necessary.

Support the practice and management team in continuous improvement initiatives.

Through innovative practices, assist partners in promoting quality improvement, confidentiality, collaborative efforts, service delivery, and compliance with regulatory standards.
