Head of Procurement & Supply Chain Opportunity

Parkinson Lee Executive Search is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead the procurement and supply chain function for a market leader in the service sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives.
  • Lead the procurement team in adopting a business partnering approach, fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Implement a robust contract management framework, ensuring compliance with procurement governance and transparency throughout procurement activities.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, services, and leasing agreements, ensuring efficient contract reviews, renewals, and tenders.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of purchasing systems, ensuring alignment with legal and financial regulations.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and external suppliers, fostering collaboration and value creation.
Requirements:
  • Qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Proven leadership skills with extensive experience in senior procurement management within large and complex organisations.
  • Experience managing multi-million-pound budgets and delivering cost improvement programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Procurement regulations and public procurement directives.
  • Strong track record of managing complex projects and delivering them on time, within budget.
  • Proven change management experience gained whilst working in the engineering infrastructure, utilities sector or similar regulated industry.
