About the Role

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a highly skilled Mints Major Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing care needs and developing programmes of care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess presenting conditions and initiate investigations
  • Determine differential diagnosis and initiate treatment
  • Review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff
  • Supervise, develop, and deploy junior staff
  • Manage the MINTS Service, including supervision and development of junior staff
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration
  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
  • Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent
  • Mints Major / Minor Injury practitioner / or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification
  • Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of Minor injuries
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures
  • Leadership skills to ensure optimum day-to-day management of the service
  • Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others
  • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology
