NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a highly skilled Mints Major Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing care needs and developing programmes of care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess presenting conditions and initiate investigations
- Determine differential diagnosis and initiate treatment
- Review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff
- Supervise, develop, and deploy junior staff
- Manage the MINTS Service, including supervision and development of junior staff
- Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
- Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent
- Mints Major / Minor Injury practitioner / or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification
- Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of Minor injuries
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures
- Leadership skills to ensure optimum day-to-day management of the service
- Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- A minimum of 27 days annual leave increasing with length of service
