About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Transformation Lead to join our team at Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading large-scale transformation programmes and projects across our organisation and the wider health and social care system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of specific transformation programmes and projects, ensuring alignment with our organisational and system-wide strategies, business plans, and CIP programmes.
  • Support the Deputy and Heads of Transformation to ensure effective planning and management of transformation programmes and projects, ensuring safe and seamless integration with existing processes and services.
  • Direct line management of staff within the transformation team, working on defined programmes and projects.
  • Support and enable the wider aims of 'Making Time Matter', our Trust's change and continuous improvement programme.
  • Embed transformation principles into clinical and service delivery.
  • Contract with customers and key stakeholders to agree project timeframes, KPIs, parameters, deliverables, and handover processes.
  • Produce programme charters, project initiation documents, project plans, and highlight reports for transformation programmes and projects.
  • Ensure delivery of plans in accordance with milestones and achievement of KPIs, completing accurate and timely reporting of transformation outputs.
  • Set up monitoring mechanisms to review performance against KPIs and project milestones, taking action as necessary to secure delivery.
  • Lead process improvement projects to deliver change and efficiency.
  • Chair project groups and other forums/meetings as required.
  • Lead organisation and system-wide workshops and project groups.
  • Give regional and organisational level presentations on transformation progress, sharing best practices and alignment to national recommendations.
  • Design innovative, effective, and lasting solutions to complex service problems.
