We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a key member of our service, you will play a vital role in promoting the benefits of stopping smoking and providing support to individuals wishing to become smoke-free.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver tobacco addiction interventions, including nicotine replacement therapies and pharmacotherapy options, under the guidance of PGDs.
  • Provide one-to-one sessions, group support, and telephone support to service users, assessing their needs and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Contribute to project development, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
  • Undertake risk assessments and contribute to risk management plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Record and input client data, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with contractual and administrative requirements.
About You:

We are looking for a qualified nurse with recent relevant experience, a current PIN, and a sound understanding of working within PGDs. You will have a strong knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and behavior change, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As a compassionate and respectful practitioner, you will be able to work effectively with service users, maintaining dignity and well-being at all times. You will also be able to respond flexibly to the demands of the post, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve service goals.
